As Oris’s 120th anniversary celebrations draw to a close, Chinese New Year and the theme of new beginnings come into focus. In this spirit, we are excited to unveil the ProPilot X Year of the Snake Limited Edition, an 88-piece release based on the innovative ProPilot X Calibre 115 and inspired by the characteristics and colors of the Chinese zodiac animal. In the Chinese zodiac, the snake represents wisdom, wealth, agility, and intelligence. The zodiac also encompasses five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. This year’s element is wood, symbolizing growth and fresh starts, represented by the Chinese color cyan. Reflecting this, the watch’s skeletonized dial, with its sinuous, snake-like design, is finished in cyan, giving it a vibrant yet elegant energy that contrasts with the subdued tones of the brushed titanium case and bracelet. Inside, the Calibre 115, Oris’s in-house hand-wound movement, offers an impressive 10-day power reserve and features a patented non-linear power reserve indicator, enhanced by a golden hand shaped like a snake’s tongue. The case back is adorned with special engravings marking the Year of the Snake.
